What we call Dog Tags are officially known in the Military as "Personal Identification Tags".

There is so much information out there regarding Military dog tags, so we are not going to try and repeat what everyone else is telling you. A simple Google search will give you whatever you need to know about Dog Tags. Here at Fourpaws we emboss our tags. The writing on your credit card is embossed. The US Military uses both embossed and debossed tags, though the preference today is for embossing as it is easier to read. More and more bases are switching to embossed tags. 

Today the US Military uses mostly computerized machines to mark their dog tags, though there are still a few bases that still use the old Graphotype manual machines. There are a few manufacturers that supply the computerised marking machines. Our CNC machine was supplied by one of these manufacturers.

"Dog Tags" have so many uses. We have supplied Cyclists, Bikers, Police men and women, keyrings and Pet ID Tags. People have used them as luggage tags. We have had people giving them to each other with personal messages on. The only limitation on the possibilities is your own imagination. With the different coloured silencers they are also a fashion statement.
